SUPPORT AT HOME

Support at Home
A NEW WAY TO RECEIVE AGED CARE
Coming 1 July 2025, the Support at Home program will replace the current Home Care Package (HCP) and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) programs.
It’s a simpler, more flexible approach designed to give older Australians more choice and control over the services they receive and how they receive them.
What is Support at Home?
Support at Home is a new aged care program that helps you live independently and safely at home for longer.
It groups services into three easy-to-understand categories:
-
Clinical Care – like nursing and allied health
-
Independence Support – including mobility aids and home modifications
-
Everyday Living – such as personal care, domestic help, transport and meals

What does it mean for me?
If you already receive services through a Home Care Package:
-
You don’t need to reapply or worry - your services will continue.
-
Your BCR Care Partner (previously called Care Manager) will help guide you through the changes.
-
You will receive a new Support at Home Agreement, updated pricing, and a Statement of Rights to ensure you understand and feel confident in your care.
